Hello all! I hope you are having a wonderful week! Today I wanted to do a quick little review on a product I've been sampling for the past few weeks. It's the Exfoliate Foaming Cleanser from Suki which I received in my June Birchbox and I am...well... in love.
I started using this sample when I ran out of the normal facial cleanser that I use in my shower routine. I find that when showering is the best time to use an exfoliating scrub on my face because my face has had a few minutes to get all nice and steamy and it has opened up the pores to get all the gunk out and dead skin off. I only use about a pea size amount to cover my whole face and I would start on my cheeks and work on toward my forehead and then down to my chin
So aside from the fact that this smells Ah-mazing, it foams really well too! Most exfoliate scrubs don't foam and they feel so harsh when you rub them onto the face, but not this scrub. The sugar crystals that help take off the dead skin do their job without leaving your face feeling like it's been rubbed raw. The scrub part actually only lasts for a few seconds and then as you massage in into your skin it turns into this nice creamy foaming cleanser that leaves your face feeling nice and clean.
So as you can tell I'm pretty sold. But there are few flaws to consider: one being that because there is sugar in the product it will dry out very quickly if you don't keep that lid on nice and tight and the other being ...well... the price. The Suki Exfoliate Foaming Cleanser retails for $32.95 for a 4 oz jar. Yikes! That is not a very lovely or budget friendly price for my liking, but I may give in and only use it once a week or so to scrub all the dead skin cells of my face.
So bottom line, would I repurchase this product? Yes, but I think the price should come down quite a bit. Would I recommend it to others? Yes, and if you love the smell of lemon grass then double yes! Did I use up my whole sample? haha ..duh. xoxo -Hillary
