HEART SWEATER DIY

Printed sweaters are huge right now especially the ones with big hearts on the front. Although these sweaters are super cute they aren't always in the budget so I decided to make my own and these make great gifts!

To make this sweater you will need
  • A solid color sweater
  • Large square of felt in a coordinating color
  • large piece of newspaper or tissue paper
  • scissors
  • Iron
  • Heat 'n bond

To start cut a heart shape out of the paper or newspaper and determine the size you want and adjust as needed. Use the pattern you just made and cut out the heart piece from the felt. Place the felt on the sweater where you want it to be.

Use the heat 'n bond and using small strips at a time iron the heart to the sweater following along the edges of the heart. You may need to use smaller pieces to fill in the gaps that you miss.

Follow your heat 'n bond directions and then iron over the whole heart for about 20 seconds to make sure the bond has fully adhered. Let cool completely, hand wash when needed and lay flat to dry. xoxo - Hillary
