STRIPED TEXTURED COASTERS

Nautical stripes are one of my favorite patterns for the summer time. And I had noticed that my coasters were growing legs and running off when I needed them. So I popped over to my Home Depot and grabbed a couple (cheap) floor tiles and got to work.

This is such a simple project and only requires a few colors of paint, painters tape, round sponge brushes, Mod Podge, and some ceramic tiles.
Using scissors I cut the painters tape length-wise to create  smaller stripe. Taking the sponge brush and my first paint color I started dabbing the paint onto the tile creating tiny air bubbles for the texture.
Once the paint has dried you can peel off the tape and then go over the tile with Mod Podge and a round sponge. To get the same effect, use the same stippling motion as before.

Mod Podge can take a day or two to cure fully before use. Once they are dried and ready you can add some adhesive foam to the bottom to protect your furniture. Enjoy! -Hillary
