DIY HEART LANTERN

With Valentine's Day coming up I thought it was the perfect time to do an easy DIY project for some home made romantic lighting.

For supplies I used a simple mason jar, some lace, mod podge, a couple markers, some measuring tape and scissors.

I measured around the jar and the length that I wanted the lace to cover and then I cut the size of lace out of my fabric.

If you want to cut out a heart like I did you can use the marker to draw a heart shape in the middle and then cut it out.

Using the mod podge and a foam brush carefully stipple the lace with podge onto the jar. Allow this to dry until the glue is clear.

I used some glass beads as a fill for my jar and then I just popped a flame-less candle down in the jar, I love how this turned out!

Lights out!
You can also add ribbon tot eh rim of the jar if you wish or use different colored beads or even different colors of lace. This project is so easy and customizable for any preference!
