For today's D.I.Y project I decided to do a knitted sleeve for my kindle fire ( Review Soon). This project is very easy for those who have minimal knitting skills and a quick project for even those advanced knitters.
You will need:
- Basic Knitting Skills (know how to knit and purl)
- Size 9 knitting needles
- three shades of your color of choice ranging from light to dark.
- Yarn needle
- Rule
Start by taking your lightest shade of yarn ( Color A) and cast on 50 stitches.
- Row 1- Knit 2, purl 2 * repeat.
- Row 2 - Purl 2, knit 2 *repeat.
Work Rows 1& 2 until Color A measures about 3" from the bottom of the piece.
Work Colors B & C the same way until the piece measures 9" from the bottom.
Cast off with an additional knit stitch.
You should now have a square piece. Fold over length wise and sew up the side and bottom thus creating a sleeve. Finish by weaving in all the ends.
